KPL Weekly Poetry – Transfers

Peter Opiyo moves from Tusker to AFC Leopards on a Ksh 450,000 deal, the highest this transfer window. Image from 24tanzania.com
The league took a three week break
Sofapaka, Bandari and Ulinzi neck and neck
Behind Thika United sitting pretty on top
Muhoroni Youth and Homeboyz facing the chop

No the politics at Ingwe I won’t blog
KCB’s Jacob Keli still rules the goals log
Followed by Murunga the new kid on the block
He scored an international away goal
That sure earned him a Tusker recall

Maybe beer is flowing free at Ruaraka
Because Moses Otieno and Abondo Victor
Also quickly went back to Tusker
But Paul Were resisted
And Peter Pinchez shifted
A move to the Den completed

Leopards also lured Abdalla Juma
Dropped Ochieng, Ndayisaba, Idrissa and Abich
Sad for a dejected and rejected Yusuf Juma
Dropped by Gor with Ali, Otieno, Zachary and Abbey
Gor snatched Joel Bataro and Paul Odhiambo
And could possibly sign Patrick Oboya

Sony signed Moses Arita and Sekayombya
As clubs continue recycling used players
Signing, releasing and then re-signing

Thika welcome back Kepha Aswani
And rumours and speculation keep flying
The transfer window remains wide open
But the league action resumes this weekend
